It is astonishing that the planning committee can consider inflicting this on the residents of Earlston.
Perhaps the proposal is being given some sympathy because Rodgers is an old-established company in the town and this is a necessary addition or extension of the business.
However, the plant will not
be owned or operated by
Rodgers but by a company called Bardon. Rodgers will be
merely leasing space in its
yard.
I would urge anyone who objects to this application to make their feelings known by writing, emailing or Concrete Mixing Plants telephoning the planning department at Scottish Borders Council as soon as possible.
